ABSTRACT | 중력과 자연계의 다른 힘들을 하나로 묶는다는 잠정적 이론을 구축하는데 기여한 끈이론이, 물리학자들이 원자와 소립자를 설명할 때 활용하는 표준구조를 어떠한 방식으로 확장시켰는지에 대해 설명할 예정이다. I will describe how string theory extends the standard framework that physicists use to describe atoms and subatomic particles, making it possible to construct candidate theories unifying gravity with the other forces of nature.
